Give this album a couple of plays before makin a judgement / 5
Not sure what album mysanthropyk overlord was listening to, but the guitars sounded fine on my stereo.Of course everyone is entitled to there opinion but in Within Temptations defence bear in mind that this album is over 4 years old and the sound quality and production for this type of music has improved considerably since then. The lead female vocal style varies from song to song and the comparison to kate bush is a good one. I must admit that i wasnt sure a first, but after listening to the album a few times it really grew on me and now i definately think sharon's voice is one of the best i've heard in this genre. Some of the vocal melodies are quite unique and it seems to me that the appearance to going off key in a couple of songs is intended and is there to illustrate the lyrics.If you like Nightwish, Lacuna coil,the gathering, After Forever etc. then give this album a chance and i'm confident you'll love this album.
