The master s' masterpiece..... / 5
This group of songs by the MOODY BLUES, is for me their best album ever. Every song is a masterpiece. Every member of the band gave a gift with a great song. As always, record company executives, are not in tune with their artists and public, and only one song from this cd, was released and promoted as a single: The Story in your Eyes. I remember, other songs from this cd being played by the radio (FM)mainly "Our guessing game", and also "One more time to live" "You can never go home" and "My Song".

It is not as "progresive" as other Moody Blues records, because the songs have more enphasis in band-synphonic orchesta relation. Also the band is at their prime with songwriting.

After this cd, the Moody Blues never sounded as a unit band as this. After the next one "Seven Sojourn" the band broke up or took a long rest for a while; when they came back, their producerm, the sound of the guitars and also, the keyboard and melotron player Mike Pinder was gone, changin the sound of the band forever.

EVERY GOOD BOY DESERVES A FAVOR, deserves a chance to be heard by those who missed the first time out, or want to learn how the masters created great music for the times to come.

Song "Silverbird"
I can understand
The rain that falls,
Waves that crash upon the shore,
And I know that everyone
Must have freedom today
And, baby, in my dreams I see,
I see you walking away.
I can understand
The moon and stars,
Wonders of this world of ours,
And I see the fire of life
Burning brighter each day,
And, baby, in my dreams I see,
I see you walking away,
So far away,
I see you walking away.

So fly, my silverbird,
You know that I
Am waiting for you,
And everywhere you go
I'm with you still.
I know you will
Return some day

And through the rain and the snow
When there's nowhere left to go
I hope you'll say
"Darling, now I understand
And I'm home to stay".

When I close my eyes
I see you there,
In everyone and everywhere
And I feel the power of love
Like an ocean today
And, baby, in my dreams I see,
I see you walking away.

So fly, my silverbird,
You know that I
Am waiting for you,
And everywhere you go
I'm with you still.
I know you will
Return some day

And through the rain and the snow
When there's nowhere left to go
I hope you'll say
"Darling, now I understand
And I'm home to stay".

And through the rain and the snow
When there's nowhere left to go
I hope you'll say
"Darling, now I understand
And I'm home to stay".

Still Moody after all these years (Colorado Springs Gazette)
The Police weren?t the first to do it. For reasons that escape most of us regular folks, many bands reach the peak of their popularity only to slam on the brakes and decide to ?take a hiatus.? Back in early ?70s, the Moody Blues did exactly that.
Rock poets reprise hits (San Jose Mercury News)
The Moody Blues aren't known as a barrel of laughs, but on the phone anyway, Graeme Edge is a hoot. The drummer and resident poet of the venerable British band punctuates his conversation with hearty laughs and choice four-letter words.

Music Review: Bee Gees - 1st (Blogcritics.org)
T'was Matthew Sweet who first got me reconsidering the Brothers Gibb: covering one of the Aussie sibs' sixties hits, "Come to Me," with Under the Covers collaborator Susannah Hoffs, he had me listening to a song I hadn't thought about in years ? and, in so doing, made me hear the pop craftiness that had gone into that particular 45. "The Bee Gees don't get enough respect," Sweet went on ...
