Amazon offers Return of Saturn (Audio CD),16 May, 2000 List price The album No Doubt would like to forget is still great! / 3 It makes me sad how No Doubt "disowned" some of the songs from "Return of Saturn" because they figured nobody would want to hear them (I'm referring to Artificial Sweetener and Home Now, two of the best songs on this album). Anyway, some people try to say this is No Doubt's worst album and they obviously don't realize that some of No Doubt's most famous songs are on this album (how many "hits" did Rock Steady have? Two?). Here's a song by song of No Doubt's least favorite album: 1.Ex-Girlfriend: This song is really repetitive and gets old fast. 7/10 2.Simple Kind of Life: I don't really like the slow songs, and this album isn't the best place to look for No Doubt's best slow songs. 6/10 3.Bathwater: I think this is the most popular song from this album. It is incredibally catchy and an instant favorite. 10/10 4.Six Feet Under: Decent, but not really special. 7/10 5.Magic's In the Makeup: Most likely the worst song No Doubt has ever made. This one is just unbearable :( 1/10 6.Artificial Sweetener: One of my favorites from this album; this song is a 90's classic. 10/10 7.Marry Me: Pretty bad slow song. A little better than Magic's in the Makeup. 3/10 8.New: Another great stand-out track! 10/10 9.Too Late: One of the only slow songs here that I really like (though some people don't). 9/10 10.Comforting Lie: Decent, but not really good. 6/10 11.Suspension Without Suspense: I don't like this one either. 4/10 12.Staring Problem: I love this song. A great standout track. 10/10 13.Home Now: Great song. I love it. 10/10 14.Dark Blue: A very good slow song that took me a few listens to really like. 8/10 There's also a hidden track; it's a decent instrumental of Too Late. So there you go, this is No Doubt's worst album according to some people that think Rock Steady is something special (which it isn't, really). If you already own Tragic Kingdom and want to get No Doubt's next best album, then you may prefer No Doubt's first two albums (self-titled and "The Beacon Street Collection). I would suggest this one if you've never heard those first two, since you may not care for No Doubt's old sound. Overrall, those two are better, but that's just my opinion.
