The Irish Popsters continue to bedazzle us listeners.... / 4
'In Blue' is The Corrs third official album and comes enhanced with added extras. I specifically want to just discuss the audio tracks in this review as other reviewers have talked enough about the enhanced CD-DVD ROM extras.
The Corrs have mixed their older songs with newer songs, previously unreleased in this enthralling third act. You have the well known 'Breathless, 'Give Me A Reason' and 'Somebody For Someone' which have been on previous CD versions. The fillers for this album like 'Say' and 'One Night' are actually really good songs on their own right. I enjoyed the melodies of 'One Night' and it is sung angelic and beautifully. 'All In A Day' is another new song and the lyrics are heartfelt and purely ear candy.
What I have missed in this album however, has been the Irish instrumentals (except for Track 14 'Rebel Heart'). I think what made The Corrs stand out in their first album were the instrumental wordless interlude songs. I hope this isn't a herald to what may come.
This album release is a pure pleasure to listen to as are all The Corrs releases. This album is a tad more uptempo to the other albums in part probably because of the many producers on this particular album. 'No More Cry' is one of the better tempo songs and well worth the listen. A MUST FOR ALL CORRS FANS!
